As competition makes it challenging for retailers to retain customers, Walmart has created a new position of chief customer officer, which will be responsible for its in-store and eCommerce offerings. Former American Express executive Janey Whiteside will fill the role, which is geared toward bringing in shoppers and providing them with better customer service, Reuters reported.Whiteside will play a critical role looking after our brand and thinking through the customer journey 鈥?from acquiring new customers to <improving> their shopping experience and resolving any issues they may have, according to a memo from Walmart.
